It’s Time for Pat’s Run again. CrossFit Forever Strong has a team set up. Below is all of the information for the race. Go to Active.com to register and when you do make sure that you select the join a team option. Our team name is CrossFit Forever Strong and the Team Password is Jordyn. I will be programming some more running workouts this month to get us ready. The truth is that our Workouts prepare us for anything that comes our way, so we are already ready for this. I would like to see as many people as possible register for this event. Let’s have the biggest team out there. Post to the comments if you are doing this.

Brief Description
Pat’s Run, is the signature fundraising event for the Pat Tillman Foundation.
Held annually in April at Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium, the 4.2 mile run/walk attracts over 20,000 participants, volunteers and spectators from across the country. Together, they walk, run and honor Pat’s memory while raising important funds to support the scholarship programs created to pay tribute to his commitment to service.
Online Registration
Online registration is available through Friday, April 9, 2010. To register in person go to Packet Pick-Up located at the north end of Sun Devil Stadium April 14 – 16 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. or on Race Day from 5 a.m. – 6:30 a.m. at the Registration Desk located on Packard Drive.

9:15 a.m. Pat’s Kids Race – .42 mile race (non-competitive)
All events finish on the 42 yard line inside Sun Devil Stadium – symbolic of the #42 jersey Pat wore while a Sun Devil.

Team Tillman
Team Tillman is a fundraising program designed for everyday athletes who identify with the values exhibited by Pat and want to help carry forward his legacy. Active Giving automatically creates a Team Tillman fundraising page for each Pat’s Run registrant. Individuals are encouraged to customize the page to begin earning exclusive Under Armour gear while raising funds to support the Tillman scholarship programs.
Kids Run
A Kids’ Run of 0.42 miles is available for children 12 years old and under. Please register children for this event in order to receive their souvenir Pat’s Run shirt. Parents may participate with their children in the Kids’ Run.
Packet Pick Up
Packet pick-up will be available April 14th – 16th at the Sun Devil Stadium north end, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Yes, you may have a family member or friend pick up your packet. Also available race morning, Packard Dr. at the Registration Desk, 5:00 am to 6:30 am.
Packet Pick-Up for Teams may be completed by one member.
Teams
Teams consisting of a minimum of 5 members may sign up online in one of several divisions: Small Corporation up to 250 employees; Large Corporation over 250 employees; College; School; Family; Military (active or retired) or Open (does not fit any other category). Teams may register online or by application form (but not both) and registration forms must be submitted no later than April 4th.
How to Create a Team
Select LOGIN after “Already have an Active Advantage Membership?” and follow the prompts to create a User Account (this will allow Team Captains to manage their teams, if you login as a guest, it prohibits that function)
Select Register Now, then Race Registration, and: Creating a Team Register Here! (Team Captains Only), follow prompts to create your team name and password, register for the run and invite others to join.
How to Join a Team
Click on Register Now, Race Registration and choose – Joining a Team. Select your team name from the drop down list, enter the team password and proceed with Registration.
Timing Results
RacePlace Events is the official timing company of Pat’s Run. Results will be posted at www.patsrun.com by 4:00 pm April 17, 2010.
Event T-Shirt Only/Shadow Runner
Can’t be there on Race Day? Run, Walk and Honor wherever you are. Packets can ONLY be mailed to people who are NOT participating in the race but would like to receive a shirt. These people MUST choose the registration option for ‘Event T-Shirt Only/Shadow Runner – not participating’ (this registration fee includes a $5 shipping fee). Please note, T-shirts will be mailed on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
Parking
Limited free parking is available in Parking Garage 7 (east of Sun Devil Stadium); on Lot 59 (north of the stadium); and on the northeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Rio Salado Parkway. Due to race day congestion it is strongly recommended that participants carpool, walk, bike or use Light Rail to get to the start area. Please visit http://www.patsrun.com/ for more details.
Rain or Shine
This event will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.

I was thinking that we could make team shirts. WE could get black shirts and put the forever strong logo on it, and some “saying” on the back! Just and idea.
I’m in and I think Cassie has a great idea about the shirts. I’m actually doing this through work (i.e. they paid for it), but I’m not guessing any of my work folks can keep up with the pace we’re going to set.
