This week we are doing Max load testing as a gym. Many people are asking about the strength program and about their particular max loads and how to find them. We will be doing a variety of lifts as a group this week and will begin a new strength program next week. In addition to the strength testing I will be programming a short cardio type of test. This is also a good week to start taking a bit out of The Girls Challenge and to get the WOW done.
Today’s Max loads will be:
Shoulder Press (No Legs)
Back Squat (MUST PASS PARALLEL TO COUNT IT AS A MAX)
Once you have warmed up we will walk you through some practice reps of the lift you are currently working on and then we will start to work up to a 1 rep max. A good idea for warm up sets are generally 10, 8, 5, 5, 3 and then start working on one at a time.
