Persistence, Exhaustion, and Potential

I found the following about a week ago on a website that I go to everyday. Please read and think about the following passage.

From The Traveler’s Gift by Andy Andrews:

“I will persist without exception.  I will continue despite exhaustion.  I acknowledge that most people quit when exhaustion sets in.  I am not “most people.”  I am stronger than most people.  Average people accept exhaustion as a matter of course.  I do not.  Average people compare themselves with other people.  That is why they are average.  I compare myself to my potential.  I am not average.  I see exhaustion as a precursor to victory.”

Please feel free to share your thought and comments on the above passage. Does it describe you?

Imagine if we all applied this to EVERYTHING we do!! Not just to Crossfit but also to our realtionships, jobs…anything and everything that we commit to!!

    Good stuff!!

  2. Z says:

I realize this is a bit off the topic but I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of you for your support and encouragement during my absence. I have never forgotten you or what you stand for and being back just confirms my admiration of our FS family. I will admit I was intimidated to come in that first day but once that happened the family atmosphere and the positive energy took over. I am grateful to all of you and look forward to our times together.

As for the quote I think Craig said it best. Don’t limit that commitment to just your workouts but life as a whole. Never settle!!
